FITTING REAR LOAD BAY LIGHTS

One of the rather inconvenient things about the 110 CSW has always been the lack of lights in the rear load area. I thought about fitting an additional light like the one in the front, then on one of the Land Rover forums I saw someone had grafted ones out of a scrap car into the plastic interior moulding. I finally got around to going to the scrap yard and found two from a couple of Vauxhall Astra's. These cost me £2.

I marked out the shape in cardboard so the lights fitted perfectly, then cut the template and drew the hole to be cut on the interior window moulding/surround.

You can then take a + & -  lead from the original interior light and run them to the new ones, I did one either side.

Really looks like it should be there, an easy and useful addition. Mine obviously work of the front door pins or from the rocker switch at the front, but you could easily put it onto a rear door pin or additional switch if you wanted.
