Refitting the Exterior
First I fitted the arches, I hate to say it, but I don't like them. I prefer them black, but we'll see how they look when its finished.

I'm not overly convinced with the fit either...
Then I moved to the back of the car...

Then tried to put the rear side windows in....but the old seals have shrunk??? So I bought new seals for all the windows and started again.
Fitting thems pretty easy if you take your time, only the front & rear require a specific tool for the filling strip. Heres how I did it. Put the new rubber in the hole, refitting an old one is bloody hard work as they go stiff. The key if LOADS of washing up liquid.

Then place the screen in the bottom...

Then slowly work around it with something not metal (if you do use something metal then don't touch the screen otherwise it will just crack.)

Once it's in place then you need to fill the groove with washing up liquid so you can fit the filler strip with the tool.

Then just slowly work your way around until you get to the end, you'll need to cut the filler strip with some snips or a saw. The join in the screen rubber goes at the bottom, the join in the filler strip goes at the top. Seeemples.
New lights, lamp bowls, and a bumper were fitted...

With the bonet just layed on you get an idea of the finished car...

New surrounds...

Then some work on the indicators, these were all brand new. I wasn't happy with the mild steel fixings so while I was at a kit car show in Lincoln I bought a few stainless fixings and some rivnuts for the mirrors.

the mini has "ears"....

Then the chrome wipers...

Then I could start with the front indicators..spire clips..

Then more stainless screws...

I was just fitting the rear fog lamp and the wheels turned up, meaning I could bin the old white allys I had....

They sit well on the arch

The car's on axle stands here, but you get the idea...

Fitted the exhaust, turns out its a "play mini, PM40". a 3inch stainless pipe, not cheap...and no doubt not quiet. We'll see how long I keep it for... Also fitted the new brake pipes throughout, the front to rear pipe irritates me a bit as its about 5 inches too long as you can see below, I may change it... (the pic is taken from the rear under the battery box.

Bonnet and grill fitted, Thats the outside done.
