REAR CARPET
Not rocket science this one. Essentially I bought a Landy as it came slightly better off in the practicality stakes than a VW Camper (now no one in the 4x4 scene will speak to me !). We have 3 kids (so far...) 2 dogs, we ride bikes a lot and we camp (as in tent, not as in "drag queen"). I thought of a Transit van, but even with circular windows and shag pile carpet I couldn't bring myself to buy one. Also Joanne said "NO", so that was the end of it. Joanne also learned to drive in a series 3, so that was it really, we bought a Landy. BUT.........The rear end was unsuitable. The benches stick out too far for bikes and the dogs sleep on the bench so you cant sit on them without needing a shower. So out come the benches, a bit of carpet tiles fitted (cost £16 and is quieter and warmer for the passengers) and a couple of fold up individual seats on order.
Before and after. The rubber mat stays for the muddy bikes. I'll post one of the seat when it arrives.
