ROOF RACK
I had roof bars on for a while, but I bent then into a V shape when I was collecting some plaster board. I had initially put off getting a traditional galvanised defender roof rack as they were a bit on the heavy side to move by yourself (!) and store off the vehicle. Anyway, as life progressed and I got more kids (& more luggage....) I decided that fitting a permanent rack wasn't a bad idea.
Local searches threw up none, a few were available 150 mile away for £130 plus... But then I saw one on e-bay by chance only 25 mile away for £125. It was the 90" one, not the one for the 110. But I though it would suffice and bought it that morning.

It's a good size without looking like an electricity board vehicle, but it sits away from the sunroof on the 110 so that's a bonus for me as we use the sunroof in the summer. As you can see, with the ladder fitted in the right place the front of the rack sits level with the seam where the front slope of the roof starts.

It doesn't come with the 1" mesh on it, that was added by the previous owner, but it keeps the bike handle bars from rubbing on the roof so I'm leaving it in place for the moment.
